The Technology Behind GloBaits
Water absorbs light at different rates. Blue, for example, is absorbed the slowest, which is why most water looks blue to the human eye. All other colors are absorbed before blue. UV light, however, is absorbed by water at a much slower rate than any of the colors that can be seen by the human eye. Using this concept, we created a lure that could still be seen by the fish in deep water. Because GloBaits produce light, specifically UV light, fish can see them in much deeper, darker water conditions that they could see with traditional lures. GloBaits bring out the natural biting instincts in fish, whether as a feeding instinct or a defensive instinct, fish bite GloBaits.
GloBaits work by concentrating on the UV portion of light. The UV portion of light (glow colors) is what fish focus on when hunting for a food source. Fishermen, on the other hand, focus on the natural light (regular colors). In the water, the natural light diminishes the deeper in the water it gets, which results in a loss of the color spectrum. GloBaits react the opposite of other lures to this change and get brighter and easier to see the deeper that they get. GloBaits have similar 'glowing'/UV-reflecting properties to those of natural food sources for fish (i.e. crawfish, night crawlers, minnows, and many other smaller bait fish).
GloBaits UV producing and reflecting properties are part of the composition of the lure, not a coating that goes over another material, so you can be assured that the colors will never fade or wear out. GloBaits are created using a specially formulated soft plastic, so they are both super durable and eco-friendly lures. They are one of the most durable soft plastic lures on the market. GloBaits can be casted and bit countless times without a breakdown of the plastic and they are composed of materials that will not damage any eco-system they are used in.
GloBaits are handpoured in the USA by blue collar Americans. GetReelLucky.com has a full line of both recreational and tournament lures for freshwater and saltwater. GloBaits were designed to work in the worst fishing conditions: dark, murky, or muddy water; deep water or shallow, shaded water. GloBaits have proven results, in both ideal fishing conditions and non-ideal conditions. GloBaits are awesome for night fishing, not only because the fish can see the lures, but because you can see it too. Anyone that has fished at night knows how important it is to be able to see your lure when it's in the water and they know that fish are attracted to light sources.
